Our FSC and GREENGUARD certified products have been engineered to utilize materials that are certified as safe for the earth and its inhabitants. We are strengthening our focus on research and development with investments in innovation and new business developments, drawing on all available resource, including our Fine Paper Division.

Neenah Green – FSC Certified & GREENGUARD CERTIFIED
Heirloom Wood Veneer Backers and Laminating substrates are now 100% FSC Certified. As of May 2010, Neenah Paper Technical Products completed FSC Certification of all its Heirloom Furniture component materials, a process which began with the certification of its Munising, Michigan mill and two grades of its veneer backing products in March 2008. The FSC certified backers are made with 100% FSC Mixed Credit pulp, ensuring that the paper meets the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards for responsible forest management. By buying products with an FSC label, you are supporting products that contain wood from well-managed forests, certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council FSC Certified (SW-COC-000885).

We now offer GREENGUARD indoor air quality certified wood veneer backers. Heirloom wood veneer backers with NAF (No Added Formaldehyde) adhesives were created to address concerns about the use of urea formaldehyde in furniture and building components. The GREEGUARD Children & Schools certification of Heirloom NAF wood veneer backers confirms their low emitting nature. Neenah Paper GREENGUARD indoor Air Quality certified wood veneer backers can be used to pursue LEED points from the U.S. Green Building Council and to comply with the stringent Phase II requirements of the California Air Resource Board’s (CARB) Air Toxic Control Measure (ATCM).
